WINTER WATCH PROGRAM
Almost all pools need some attention over the winter months. Correct water levels, water chemistry, and equipment inspections are particularly important. The Poolservice Company WINTER WATCH PROGRAM can help prevent severe winter damage and increase the chances of a trouble free spring opening.
THE TECHNICIAN WILL DO THE FOLLOWING EACH VISIT:
- Check the water level to make sure it’s at the correct winter level. If water level is too high, we will pump it down to the correct level. This is very important for pools with solid covers, automatic covers, mesh covers, as well as uncovered pools.
- Check the pool cover anchoring system. Patch or replace water bags, replace anchors, straps or springs as necessary.
- pH balance is particularly important over the winter. We will also add algicide if necessary as the spring weather warms. All chemicals and parts cost extra.
- Check on filter system to make sure winterization was effective.
- Inspect pool cover and other visible pool components to check on possible damage by debris, weather, or vandalism. Repairs will be recommended as necessary.
Pool owners with solid covers or automatic covers must keep an automatic cover pump on the cover at ALL TIMES. Pumping off the cover between Winter Watch visits is NOT the responsibility of poolservice under this agreement. Automatic cover pumps are available and are highly recommended. Poolservice can provide and install one (for an additional charge) at closing if you request it.
PLEASE NOTE that any necessary parts and chemicals used for the professional treatment of your pool will be billable in addition to the basic Winter Watch fee. Visits will be approximately one month apart.
